About

Leodis Requiem is an immersive gothic and post-punk music festival held across Leeds, a city deeply rooted in the subculture's heritage. Celebrating Yorkshire's continued contributions to the subculture, the event features an eclectic mix of live bands, clubs, spoken word, acoustic performances, and social gatherings. Embracing the DIY spirit, the festival takes place in alternative venues, creating a unique grass-roots atmosphere.

This festival is dedicated to celebrating Yorkshire gothic by providing a stage for both new and established acts. We curate a diverse lineup that highlights emerging talent, granting them an opportunity to shine alongside performers with a rich legacy in the scene.

Leodis Requiem carries on the legacy of Goth City, a festival that ran in Leeds from 2016 until 2023. Although Goth City's popularity endured, the founder decided it was time to embark on new endeavours. Enter Leodis Requiem, a fresh festival organised by the same volunteers who helped make Goth City a success.

Beyond the captivating music and culture, Leodis Requiem holds a strong sense of social responsibility. As part of our commitment to giving back, we raise funds for PAFRAS, a local charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers facing destitution.

Join us to experience a mesmerising fusion of darkness and artistry, as we celebrate the city's rich subcultural history, and make a positive impact in the lives of those in need. Come and immerse yourself in a world of music, unity, and compassion.
